7 HABITS THAT POISON YOUR RELATIONSHIP

There are some people who just can’t have a peaceful relationship, not because they aren’t good partners to be with, but because they have certain habits that are poisonous and will ruin the relationship.

1. LIES

Lies, deceit and every form of dishonesty in your relationship will leave a harmful effect on your relationship. These things will do more harm than good in your relationship and will gradually weaken the trust that should exist. Once trust is broken, the relationship will gradually lose its peace.

2. SELFISHNESS

Thinking about yourself, trying to make yourself the centre of attraction and making the relationship just about you are some of those poisonous habits you can bring into your relationship. It’s called a RELATIONSHIP for a reason, and you’re in it with another PARTNER for a reason.

3. ALWAYS THINKING YOU’RE RIGHT

Being too opinionated and thinking you’re always right is another dangerous habit that many people are fond of, and a habit like this will make it hard to have an understanding relationship with your partner.

4. PROLONGING AN ARGUMENT

It’s okay to have an argument with your partner, but when it becomes prolonged, it could have an adverse effect on your relationship. Malice and bitterness could easily creep into your relationship as a result.

5. BLOWING THINGS OUT OF PROPORTION

A lifestyle of blowing things out of proportion will cause heavy unrest in your relationship. Little things will lead to a fight, a simple discussion could turn into a quarrel and the peace in your relationship will never be guaranteed.

6. TRYING TO HAVE CONTROL

Seeking control of your relationship and trying to decide everything that happens in your relationship will never make your relationship a healthy one. You make your relationship less of what a relationship should be all about when you try take control of everything.

7. TREATING YOUR PARTNER WITH DISRESPECT

Disrespect should never be found in your relationship. Never for any reason should you disrespect your partner, and if you do – you ought to do the honourable thing by apologising.

Disrespecting your partner is just a sign that you want the worst for your relationship; it’s a habit that will ruin even the best of relationships.



These habits are indeed very poisonous, and will hurt your relationship more than you can imagine.
